Path By Trace Dialog

Used to specify trace criteria for constructing work locations and retrieving features based on a native GIS trace.

SettingDescription
Trace Specifies the network conditions for the trace (e.g., All, In-Service, Proposed Install, etc.). The settings will depend on the specific trace types that have been configured.
Filter Specifies which facilities are retrieved from the trace and incorporated into the design (e.g., All, Primary Only, Primary and Secondary, Secondary and Service, etc.). The settings will depend on the specific filter types that have been configured.
Point Work Locations Only Retrieves only point-type work locations from the trace. Clear the check box to retrieve both point and span work locations
Auto Assign CUs Assigns compatible units to the retrieved features in the Proposed Install state based on current unit rules.
Trace / Interrupt Initiates the trace. When the trace is in progress, the button provides an Interrupt command for stopping the trace.
OK Indicates acceptance of the trace-i.e., retrieves the trace data from the GIS and displays it as a path in the Design Assistant, along with associated features and compatible units, if appropriate. The OK button will be enabled only after a trace has been successfully completed.
